THE BASICS
For League Cadets, there is the syllabus, and for Sea Cadets there are many correspondence courses you are required to complete in order to advance in rank or attend Advanced Trainings. A complete list of courses and the files you will need to download, are kept on the USNSCC Homeport website. If you are unable to download a course, contact your Training officer. Visit the link below to see the list and get started!!

This link will take you to the Training page on HomePort. When you get to the page, click on the picture that has Cadet Advancement under it. it will take you to the courses. For the answer sheet you will need to go to click on "forms and templates" at the top of the page and then scroll to the bottom where the answer sheets for NSCC and NLCC is located. NSCTNG 028 is NSCC, NSCTNG 029 is for the League Syllabus.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM YOUR TRAINING OFFICER
FOR SEA CADETS, THE BMR MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN NINETY (90) DAYS OF ENROLLMENT. IF THE BMR IS NOT COMPLETED, THE CADET WILL BE DROPPED FROM ENROLLMENT. COURSES MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE IT IS TIME FOR ADVANCEMENT!!!
The BMR must be completed in order to advance to E-2T and / or to attend Recruit Training, which must be completed during your first year as a Sea Cadet. If you have questions, please contact the Training Officer, ENS Spellman at (337) 317-3856.
ADVANCED TRAINING
Advanced trainings are offered during the summer and during winter break. Before a Cadet can attend advanced trainings, they must attend Recruit Training, complete the BMR and may be required to complete other training specific correspondence courses. There may be other training specific requirements (ie physical fitness standards, Dive Qualifications, age restrictions) and they will be posted to the training schedule. Please visit the link below to see what Advanced Trainings are being offered. Once you have located a training you would like to attend, contact ENS Spellman to begin the process and reserve your spot at training.
